Store Requirements
Outline
Here follows a brief outline of the expectations and requirements that each store shall be expected to adhere to and follow. This outlines the extent of the work and involvement each store will perform and, in turn, this is the most important section for participating stores to read.
Initial Admin
Stores must indicate their interest in participation by no later than 18 February. Note late indication will affect opportunity to select optimal dates (see below).
Stores will have the opportunity to select their dates from a provided list on a first come first serve basis between 14 February and 21 February. This will be done via an online platform. While open for any store, we would request that a store benefitting from turnover of two events offer to host the invitational in December.
Stores will select a first and second preference for format for their event when selecting dates. We will try to stick to first choice, but to ensure variation of format from month to month we may select your second choice.
Once all the particulars have been finalised, stores will be provided with an A2 poster with all the details of the series, the locations, dates and formats in addition to places where further information can be obtained. Each participating store will be required to display this in a visible location to regular magic event attendees for the duration of the series.
Ongoing Series Admin
Stores will be required to schedule their corresponding events in WER ahead of time.
Stores will be required to indicate venue attendance limitations at least 6 weeks ahead of their series event.
Stores are required to post the event to their regular social media locations 4-8 weeks ahead of the event.
The Friday before each event and the Friday the week before stores will be required to make an announcement with the format and location of the next event at FNM spreading awareness.
Encouraged Store Behaviour
Stores are encouraged to avoid hosting competitive events or events with substantial prize support at the same time as other stores are hosting their series event. While we will not police this, this will be a determiner of participation in following series events in years to come.
Stores are encouraged, but not required to add promotional items to the prize pool. This could include older promotional cards, showdown packs etc. These may be distributed however the store deems fit (draw prizes, additional final standing prizes, etc).
